Accra Stadium like every other Stadium of same class has its stands decided into four 4 sections. Vis. Eastern, southern, Western and northern wings. These sections mostly carry same numbers. However, we have observed some cases where the above premise is not true. It is important to however state that where capacity carries, the side of the stands behind the goal posts carry less numbers.
To cover 80% of the stands
To cover 80% of the stands, the stage/Podium must be cituated in the last 1/5 section of the stadium and must face the larger section of the stadium. Simply put, the stage must be cituated between the goal posts and the stands behind it. Then and only then can the stadium be 80% full.
Notice the blue line in the image illustration above and the direction of the arrows. That should be the position and direction of the stage to ensure coverage of 80% and above.
To cover 50% of the stands
The stage must be cituated at the center line, facing either goal posts such that at least 180% is covered from the center. When the above premise is satisfied, then we can say that 50% of 40,000 people are present.
The blue line in the image above shows the positioning and direction of the stage for 50% attendance to be achieved.
Freedomwave 2021
The stage was cituated between the goal posts and the stands facing the smaller section of the stadium and making it impossible to achieve over and above 1/3 of the the total capacity (13,332)
The blue line shows the position of the stage as it was at the just ended freedomwave convert. It is therefore geometrically impossible to believe those numbers and indeed it is nowhere close to 40,000 people. Having a full Stadium with the same stage positioning means that about 70% of attendees faced the backstage, which was also not the case.
Don't believe everything you hear and run with it, it makes you a slave instead of a wise man. Wise people move beyond hearing to establish conviction.
